LetielTempest Crossover Pt29Tempest vanished and appeared in several different places until he arrived on the beach. He could smell Letiel and...Veil?! The mage looked around and spotted the henchmen, then started walking towards them.
The men were just cleaning up and spraying Ammonia on the tracks to hide their scent when Tempest approached. Posing as exterminators they tipped their hats as any employee would and kept about their business.
Tempest drew a sword and slashed up one of the men's chest, then grabbed the other by the throat. "Where did they go?"
The second man smiled as he choked. Tempest painfully ripped the information from his brain and dropped him on the ground, unconscious. He started walking.
The henchman did manage to press a button on his wrist before passing out and a light clicked on in the van. Veil turned it off and nodded to the driver who sped up.
"Make sure she's out," he called over his shoulder.
Letiel was tied to a stretcher and could've been a typical hospital patient with the oxyg
ExileRythona was an exile. She was branded a troublemaker and a traitor by two clans and left to the wilderness. Only a few friends ever paid her small cave a visit and only on rare occasions. Ry had tried to contact several of her friends from both clans but most of them refused to even note her existence or treat her as a person.
The wild was a difficult place to live but the ancestors of all species had learned to live and so would she. In many ways it was beautiful. The two worlds that set on the horizon each evening were a testament to that. If one could learn to speak with the world around them, that hunter would stand a chance. Life was still a struggle, but an endurable one.
The fear of the dark and the breath of other predators on the back of her neck was the least of Ry's worries. The worst part was her own heart.
Day after day and night after night the guilt and weight of her brand ate at her soul and made the loneliness a bitter hell. Ry had animal companions but she longed for
LetielTempest Crossover Pt28Tempest jerked awake. He'd fallen asleep. Going into the spirit world must've been more exhausting then her though.
Letiel was pressed to Tempest as best she could and absorbing his body heat. She was cold and feeling a little feverish. It can't be all that important, was her reasoning. No other Spirit had just come back to life. Maybe this was normal.
"Are you fireproof?" Tempest whispered, feeling her shiver. Letiel nodded weakly.
Tem stood up and stepped back a little, then formed a ball of fire in his hands. He threw the fire at L, and it exploded into a small inferno, wrapping itself around her like a blanket.
She sighed contentedly and relaxed in the heat. Now if only her responsibilities would go away...
The mage pulled a small book out of his pocket and started to write in it. They could be here awhile, but he wasn't going to leave her.
Letiel half buried herself in the sand, feeling it melt around her. She shifted to her dragon form and lay still, enjoying the heat on her toug
LetielTempest Crossover Pt27"So how are we getting to Helms Deep? I mean...the underwater clan."
"I'm not sure," Conar said. "There are routes from the mainland but they will have been closed off by now."
"Just tell me where it is and I can teleport us there."
"That would be breaking the law. Besides it's quite pleasant here."
Tempest rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "I don't normally operate inside the law to begin with." He looked up and squinted at the sun. "It's too bright."
"But it's warm," Letiel muttered. "Go ahead and take them Conar, I'm just gonna stay here for a little while."
Conar shrugged and got up. "Ok."
"I'll wait," Tempest said, "she can take me later. Besides, you and Snow seem to have gotten on. No one has actually agitated her in a while."
"Daddy!" Snow exclaimed.
Conar smiled, "Well, I am allowed to teleport so if that's ok with you Snow, pops?"
"Go right ahead."
"Sounds good," Conar delicately picked Snow up from behind and vanished.
Letiel shuddered as a breeze blew by and hunkered do
LetielTempest Crossover Pt26It was night, and the traffic was insane. Tempest looked off the edge of the building.
"Good thing I don't drive," he mumbled.
"I do." Letiel had shifted back to her human form and sat down on the edge of the building. Tem squinted at the buildings below.
"Is that it? The one with the million dollars worth of neon on the front?"
"Nope. I'll show you." She slid off the building and landed lightly on her feet. Dusting off the gown she was still wearing she joined the mass of people walking the streets. Tem joined her after a few minutes, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a brown paper bag.
"I got you some new clothes. You kinda stand out with the bright white wedding gown."
"It's not a wedding gown!" She snapped, snatching the bag. With a snort she stomped into an alley and quickly changed behind a dumpster. Tem leaned against the dumpster, facing away from her.
"It certainly looks like one. Reincarnation was a pretty nice guy."
"He's not," she mumbled. "He plays the good guy but
LetielTempest Crossover Pt25Letiel had taken a detour. She needed to see the damage that had been done to Central and was immensely unhappy. With a roar she landed amongst soldiers and beat them away with her tail.
The mage followed Egan's scent to a group of army vehicles, and stopped dead. Letiel had just appeared.
It fought hard to stop itself from charging her, instead making its way to one of the vehicles and ripping the door off. Egan was inside.
Letiel spotted the mage and the spotted Egan. She instantly charged the red mage. This creature was bloody with Kinthaydin's blood and was after Egan! Her jaws closed around the mage's shoulder.
The mage hissed as Letiel bit down on it. It grabbed her head and ripped her off, looking in her eyes.
"GO AWAY. EGAN HELP." It tossed her away and held Kinth out to Egan. "FIX."
Letiel was confused but had one thing in mind: fight now, ask questions later. She lunged again, ripping the mage away from Egan and causing the creature to drop Kinthaydin.
LetielTempest Crossover Pt24HOURS LATER.
Conar wasn't healing. He knew he wouldn't. He would have to wait for Snow to make a full recovery.
The dragon really was a gruesome mess; one tenth of a body would do that to you. It didn't help that what little blood he did have was spilled everywhere and his exposed muscles and bones were frostbitten. Maybe the North Pole was a poor choice in drop point.
Letiel was Letiel again and extremely uncomfortable. She was healing yes, but she didn't feel right. It was her body of course but that was the problem, it was HER body.
Snow opened her eyes slowly.
Still blind. She sat up slowly and stretched. She felt wonderful.
Letiel was sitting up in the snow, healed and dressed in a simple gown, Reincarnation had left for her. She made a snowball and tossed it at her own shrine, refusing to look at anyone. The snowball hit Snow and she spun around.
Letiel immediately went to Snow. "Oh geez, I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to hit you."
"It's ok, I'm not hur
LetielTempest Crossover Pt23Tempest walked towards Rythona's alter. "I win!" he called, activating his AP.
Snow sat on the ground, leaning against Rythona, who was in her wolf form. onar appeared, dressed in finer clothes and carrying several wrapped bundles.
"Sorry I'm late! I had to pick up a few things first!" Rythona got up and trotted over to Conar, sniffing the bundles curiously. "Ah! Not for you sis." He set his things down and unrolled eight carved sticks of medium length and eight tall poles. He set about placing the sticks upright in the snow in a circular shape, one inside another. "This shouldn't take me long." Rythona scratched behind her ear and vanished. Tempest sat next to Snow on the ground.
"Hey daddy. You ok?" Snow asked Tem, placing her hand on his arm.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he said, "There's a chance we might be able to bring you back."
"Really? And Winter and mom too?!"
"It sounds like it. Apparently we're going to communicate with the spirit of death itself."
Tempest paused. "I guess
LetielTempest Crossover Pt22Yasunari ripped the door open and was relieved to find a restrained, but healthy and awake, Saburo. The blind kid brightened. "Yasu! That sounds like you!"
"It is Saburo!"
"You're still alive bud." The dogs howled their joy at being reunited.
Tempest dodged to one side of the shot. "Ah! That's why!"
"Need I explain further?" Conar drew his twin katana.
Maelstrom didn't actually take the time to see who he was fighting until now. He swore under his breath and ran back into the command center. PK's replaced him.
"Toys," Tem mumbled. He drew his swords and started to plow through them.
Conar watched and changed his strategy he sheathed his blades and scurried around the PK's, playfully poking at them and hitting their sides.
"This is it?" Conar laughed.
"Believe me," Tempest grunted between swipes, "If we were anyone else, this fight would already be over, and we'd be dead."
Conar shifted his claws and tore open a PK. He wiggled his way inside, tearing out wiring as he went.
